What Is It?

This group, working in partnership with the Awarding Organisations, ensures that standards and qualifications are updated and fit for purpose for the sector. The group is responsible for reviewing, amending and developing qualifications for the power sector.

The Electricity Standards Qualifications Group was established in 2003 in response to employer demand. The group is presently chaired by Bryan Ashford, New Talent Delivery Manager at National Grid.

Working in partnership with the Trailblazer Development team, members of the Electricity Standards Qualifications Group have been at the forefront of technical developments for the new English Apprenticeships.
