What Is It?
The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service was established in 2014 and is part of the Energy & Utility Skills Group. The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service delivers rigorous and robust apprenticeship end-point assessment services to the energy and utilities sector.
“I have watched the Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service develop from concept to reality, supporting large numbers of talented apprentices of all ages. It was responsible for the first apprentices to complete the new trailblazer standards, and I recently hosted an event at the House of Lords to mark its first 100 graduates. It is a constant delight to meet the dedicated individuals who have worked so hard to complete their apprenticeships and pass a rigorous end-point assessment. I wish them all success in building on their apprenticeships as the basis for long and rewarding careers.”
Lord Aberdare, Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Apprenticeships
End-point Assessment
Our commitment to quality, the expertise of our technical experts and our end-point assessment tools all meet the needs of employers, their apprentices and the requirements of the apprenticeship standards and assessment plans.
The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service was the first end-point assessment provider to have achievers on the English Trailblazer apprenticeship standards and since then we have had over 200 achievers who have passed end-point assessment across a range of apprenticeship standards.

Who We Work With
As an employer-led end-point assessment body, the Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service aids transferability of skills across and within the energy and utilities sector. We work with employers and training providers to deliver a high quality service, which ensures that apprentices can do the job they have trained for in a safe, competent and productive manner.
Employers
If you are an employer looking to select your end-point assessment organisation, please see our information on selecting us as your end-point assessment organisation. We recommend that you appoint your end-point assessment provider at the start of the apprenticeships and you must select a provider that is listed on the Register of End-point Assessment Organisations (RoEpAO).
Training Providers
If you are a training provider working with an employer and are looking to identify an end-point assessment organisation, we will happily work with you and your employer to map out and schedule end-point assessment activities in line with the requirements of the apprenticeship assessment plans.
