Policy and Stakeholder Manager (12 month FTC)

Reporting to the Head of Communications, Policy and Research, the Policy and Stakeholder Manager will be responsible for delivering our policy stakeholder engagement strategy and its ongoing implementation. You will also lead on all aspects of policy review and analysis related to workforce renewal and skills for the energy and utilities sector. Your policy insights, stakeholder intelligence and other evidence will critically inform our strategy, positioning Energy & Utility Skills as an influential thought leader in the skills arena.

This is an exciting role that allows you to take full ownership of policy and research activities. You will build and maintain stakeholder relationships across the UK national governments and their agencies and lead on delivery of high quality market intelligence and customer insights. You will support the generation of income by using policy analysis, stakeholder insights and robust evidence to inform growth of our commercial services, including EUSR schemes and the EUIAS. You will also work with the Marketing team to ensure that, where appropriate, these insights are communicated to members and colleagues in a timely and effective manner.

Assessment Manager

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for the assessment strategy for the EUIAS with specific responsibility for end-point assessment tools design, development and refresh. You will also be responsible for the delivery of high quality end-point assessment within a safety critical sector and ensure compliance with current apprenticeship policy and the interpretation of each individual published assessment plan.

You will manage the Chief Examiners responsible for each niche specialist sector to ensure reliable and valid end-point assessment which is consistent and comparable and which exceeds the regulatory requirements.   You will also lead on the recruitment and management of the bank of independent technical experts/assessors for each niche specialist sector including approval, risk rating and performance monitoring to ensure end-point assessment remains reliable, valid consistent and comparable over time.

Marketing Manager – Talent Source Network (20 hours a week, 12 month FTC)

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be accountable for delivering the Talent Source Network integrated marketing campaign. Talent Source Network is the sector’s digital platform that enables the attraction of talent from diverse backgrounds, raising the profile of the careers available to talent in our sector and also acting as a jobs board for early careers audiences as well as professionals with transferable skills sets such as service-leavers.

To be successful in this role, you will be experienced in managing marketing campaigns – from understanding audiences and writing strategy to doing the day-to-day delivery. You’ll enjoy digital activity and understand how to market an online service – coupled with a strong creative flair.
