I began life at Energy & Utility Skills in the EUSR team. Alongside this I studied a distance learning course in Graphic Design. When a six-month secondment came up in the Marketing and Communications team, I jumped at the chance and applied immediately.
Moving into the team really pushed the boundaries of my skills and abilities. It enabled me to test my own creative capabilities further than before and increased my confidence. Every day here is a learning process and it really helps working at something I’m naturally passionate about doing, whilst knowing the work we do has a positive impact on people’s lives and the economy. Since moving into the Marketing team, I have been promoted to Digital Marketing Executive. I’m also responsible for all the company’s internal design work.
It’s important to me that Energy & Utility Skills is an organisation that invests in people and I believe they do this very well. There is a friendly and professional atmosphere here with many opportunities to develop. It’s a great place to work!
